Recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at kama.ai | 2024

As we stand on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation this year, I invite everyone to join us in wearing an orange shirt for Orange Shirt Day. With the orange shirts we honour and remember those children who had to partake and endure the residential school system. This powerful symbol reminds us that Every Child Matters, honouring the survivors of residential schools and remembering the children who never returned home.

At kama.ai, we reflect deeply on the importance of this day. Our team, diverse in culture and background, stands united in support of the values that Truth and Reconciliation represent: respect, inclusion, equity, and justice. These principles are not only at the heart of this important day but are also embedded in everything we do at kama.ai, including our commitment to responsible and ethical AI.

As we commemorate this day, I encourage our employees, customers, and partners to pause and reflect on the ongoing journey toward reconciliation. At kama.ai, we strive to uphold truth and fairness in all aspects of our work, particularly in building AI technologies that respect truth, human dignity, inclusivity, and cultural understanding – without bias.

This year, let’s strengthen our resolve to make reconciliation an ongoing practice in our lives. We also invite you to strengthen your resolve to reconcile with our Mother Earth; without her, we truly have nothing. Let’s continue to build a future where respect and equity guide our actions—not just today, but every day.
