We are pleased to share an upcoming INSPIRE-hosted webinar that brings together leading scholars and industry practitioners for a timely and thoughtful discussion on the role of AI in advancing sustainability—without deepening environmental, social, and ethical risks. This session will explore how AI can be responsibly designed, governed, and deployed amid climate urgency, rising energy use, and global inequities. The conversation will examine AI as “the new electricity,” harm-reduction approaches to AI governance, AI-enabled transitions such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and ethical AI leadership grounded in Indigenous values. We look forward to the exchange of perspectives and insights that will emerge from this important dialogue.
